The listing highlights a 500 lb weight capacity and an extra-wide seat. These two specs define its primary use case. You get a leather-upholstered seat with memory foam padding. The chair also includes an adjustable air-cushion lumbar support system. This model aims to provide stability and comfort for extended sitting periods. We will break down the dimensions and features to help you decide if it fits your workspace needs.
What stands out

- Extra-wide 24-inch seat width for comfort
- Adjustable air-cushion lumbar support system
- Built-in retractable footrest for reclining
- 3D saddle-shaped memory foam seat cushion
Who it fits
Good fit for
This chair suits big and tall users who need a stable base. The 500 lb capacity and 24-inch width accommodate larger body types comfortably. If you spend long hours at a desk, the adjustable lumbar support helps maintain posture. The recline feature and footrest are useful for short breaks. It works well in home offices where you need a single chair for work and rest. The leather upholstery is easy to wipe down, which is practical for daily use.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you prefer a low-profile seat. This is a high-back chair with a substantial footprint. The seat height is fixed at 22 inches in the listed variation, which may not suit very short users. If you need dynamic, multi-directional armrests, this model only offers adjustable armrests. The footrest is a simple pop-out design, not a complex mechanical system. Users who prioritize a compact chair for small spaces will find this extra-wide option too large.
Verdict: The CIOMAN Big and Tall chair is a sturdy option for larger users who prioritize weight capacity and seat width. It offers solid basic ergonomics but lacks advanced adjustability features.
Key specs explained
Weight Capacity: 500 lbs
This rating indicates the maximum safe load the chair can support. It allows heavier users to sit without risking frame damage or instability. You should compare this limit to your body weight plus any additional pressure from leaning back. Higher limits ensure long-term durability and safety for larger frames.
Lumbar Support: Adjustable air-cushion
This feature uses an inflatable cushion to support your lower back. You can change the firmness to match your spine curve. This helps reduce strain during long work sessions. Unlike fixed pads, an air cushion adapts to your specific shape. It is useful for users who need customizable spinal alignment.
Seat Cushion Type: 3D memory foam
This material conforms to your body shape to distribute weight evenly. The 3D design adds contouring for better comfort. You will feel less pressure on your hips and thighs. Memory foam retains its shape better than standard foam. This is ideal for users who sit for extended periods.
Upholstery Material: Leather
This covering provides a smooth, easy-to-clean surface. You can wipe away spills quickly. Leather often feels cooler than fabric in warm rooms. It gives a professional look to your office space. Compare this to mesh or cloth options for breathability and maintenance needs.
Armrest Adjustability: Adjustable
You can move these armrests to fit your desk height. Proper alignment reduces shoulder and wrist strain. You can raise or lower them to match your posture. This feature ensures your arms rest comfortably while typing. It is essential for users who need customized ergonomic support.
Design and build details
The listing describes the CIOMAN Big and Tall Leather Executive Chair as a high-back model with an extra-wide seat. The upholstery is leather, which the manufacturer suggests offers a smooth, easy-to-clean surface. You might find this material suitable for environments where you want to wipe away dust or spills quickly. The seat cushion uses 3D memory foam. This shape is designed to distribute weight evenly across your hips and thighs, which can help reduce pressure points during long sitting sessions.
According to the listing, the chair measures 24 inches in width and 22 inches in height. The seat depth is listed at 20 inches. These dimensions support the "Big and Tall" claim. The wider base provides more room for larger frames. The chair itself weighs 64 pounds. This mass suggests a stable build that resists tipping. The robust frame is rated to hold up to 500 lbs. This capacity allows heavier users to sit without worrying about structural limits.
The layout includes adjustable armrests and an adjustable air-cushion lumbar support. The lumbar feature conforms to your spine. The armrests allow you to align your elbows with your desk. A built-in footrest is also present. It pops out to support your legs when the chair reclines. The finish is available in five colors, including Brown, Pink, White, Grey, and Black. You can choose the option that best fits your office decor.
Setup and daily use guide
The listing does not provide detailed assembly instructions, but you can expect a standard chair setup process. The unit weighs 64 pounds, which suggests it may require some effort to move into position. You will likely need to attach the base, gas lift, and backrest. The chair arrives in a box with dimensions of 24 by 22 by 20 inches, so ensure you have enough floor space for unboxing and construction.
Once assembled, daily use centers on adjustability. The seat height is adjustable, allowing you to align the chair with your desk. The armrests are also adjustable, letting you position them to support your arms comfortably. This helps reduce strain on your shoulders and wrists during long work sessions. The chair swivels 360 degrees, providing easy access to different areas of your workspace.
For relaxation, the chair features a recline mechanism with three locking positions. You can lean back to rest. A built-in footrest pops out to support your legs while reclining. This turns the office chair into a spot for short naps or breaks. The casters are designed to roll quietly, reportedly under 25 dB, which minimizes noise in your environment. The leather upholstery is smooth, making it easy to wipe clean after daily use. The extra-wide seat and high back provide ample space and shoulder support for larger frames.
Before you buy this chair
You should verify that your floor type works with the listed casters. The listing notes sub-25 dB quiet-rolling wheels, but you must ensure they do not scratch delicate surfaces like hardwood or vinyl. Since the seat is extra wide at twenty-four inches, measure your desk clearance to confirm the armrests fit comfortably under standard workstations. The brown leather upholstery requires regular dusting to maintain its appearance. You should avoid harsh chemicals that might degrade the material over time. This model sits alongside other big and tall options in the 1 chairs reviewed here. It stands out for its specific five hundred pound capacity and integrated footrest. If you need a napping spot, this feature adds value. However, if you prioritize a slim profile, you might find the extra width bulky. Check your room dimensions before finalizing your choice.
Check before you buy
- Measure desk clearance for the twenty-four inch wide seat.
- Confirm floor type compatibility with the quiet-rolling casters.
- Check if the brown leather matches your office decor.
- Ensure your weight is under the five hundred pound limit.
