Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this chair if you need a low-profile seat for gaming, reading, or napping on the floor. The adjustable back and headrest help you find a comfortable angle for long sessions. The 310 lb weight capacity and steel frame provide a sturdy base. It is ideal for small spaces where you want to fold it away when not in use. The breathable linen cover keeps you comfortable during extended sitting periods.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need a high-back office chair with lumbar support for desk work. This model sits directly on the floor, which may be difficult for some users to stand up from. It lacks adjustable armrests or a height mechanism. If you require a chair that integrates with a standard desk setup, this floor chair will not fit your ergonomic needs. The fixed low height is not suitable for everyone.
Verdict: This floor chair offers adjustable comfort and sturdy support for relaxed, low-to-the-ground seating. It is a practical choice for casual use in living areas or bedrooms.
DORTALA Key Specs Explained
Headrest Type: 5-Position Adjustable
The headrest offers five distinct angle settings. This allows you to customize support for your neck and head while sitting upright or reclining. You can shift positions easily to reduce strain during long gaming sessions or reading. When comparing floor chairs, look for multiple adjustment levels rather than fixed angles to ensure better ergonomic comfort for different body types.
Weight Capacity: 310 lbs
The reinforced steel frame supports users up to 310 pounds. This limit ensures the structure remains stable and does not sag or fail under typical adult weight. You should verify this limit matches your body weight to maintain safety and durability. Many standard floor chairs have lower limits, so this capacity makes it suitable for larger adults seeking sturdy support.
Seat Cushion Type: soft padded sponge
The seat and backrest use soft padded sponge for cushioning. This material provides a plush feel that absorbs pressure points during extended sitting. You will notice immediate comfort compared to hard surfaces, though sponge may compress over time unlike high-density foam. Check if the sponge density is listed elsewhere for long-term resilience when evaluating similar low-profile seating options.
Upholstery Material: breathable linen
The cover is made from breathable linen fabric. This material allows air circulation to keep you cooler than synthetic leather or vinyl covers. You benefit from a gentle texture and reduced heat buildup during warm weather or intense gaming. Compare this to non-breathable materials if you tend to get hot while sitting, as linen offers better temperature regulation.

The compact folded dimensions allow for easy storage in closets or under beds. The listing notes that no assembly is required. You simply unfold the chair to begin use. The backrest adjusts into four positions, while the headrest offers five angle settings. These controls let you switch from an upright chair to a reclining position quickly. This flexibility suits various activities, from working to napping.

Setting up this chair requires no tools or assembly. You simply unfold the unit from its compact, folded state to its open configuration. The design allows for immediate use, making it convenient for quick placement in any room. Once unfolded, you can adjust the backrest into four distinct positions. This mechanism lets you switch between an upright seating posture and a reclined angle in seconds. This weight capacity makes it suitable for most adult users. The overall structure is designed to conform to body lines, offering support during extended periods of sitting.
Before You Buy This Chair
You should verify that your floor surface is flat and clean before placing this chair. The breathable linen upholstery requires regular vacuuming to remove dust and debris. Deep stains may need spot cleaning with a mild detergent, but avoid soaking the soft padded sponge. This low-profile design sits directly on the ground, so it is not suitable for users who need a raised seat for easy standing. You must also ensure your room has enough vertical clearance, as the backrest extends up to 31.1 inches in the highest position. Compare this option against standard office chairs if you require ergonomic lumbar support for long work hours. This chair fits best in living rooms or bedrooms for casual gaming or reading. It complements other 1 options by offering a unique, space-saving alternative for relaxed environments rather than formal workspaces.
