Office vs Floor Chair Specs
Adjustable Positions
The GIANTEX Fabric Office Chair with 2D Headrest offers flexible positioning through its rocking backrest and swivel seat. The 2D headrest provides 2 inches of height adjustment and a 45-degree rotation angle. This allows you to customize support for your head and neck while seated at a desk. In contrast, the GIANTEX 360 Swivel Folding Floor Gaming Chair features six adjustable back positions. It locks securely at angles between 50 and 90 degrees. This range supports various activities like reading, relaxing, or napping. The floor chair prioritizes recline versatility for casual lounging, while the office chair focuses on ergonomic alignment for upright work sessions. Both provide distinct adjustment methods suited to their specific use cases.
Seat Height
Height differences define the primary utility of each chair. The GIANTEX Fabric Office Chair with 2D Headrest stands at 46 inches tall. This height is designed for standard desk use, allowing your feet to rest flat on the floor while your arms align with a workspace. The GIANTEX 360 Swivel Folding Floor Gaming Chair is significantly lower, measuring 29.5 inches in height. This profile places you closer to the ground, ideal for floor-level activities such as gaming on a console, reading on a sofa, or relaxing in a living room. The office chair elevates you for productivity, while the floor chair creates a cozy, low-profile seating experience for leisure. Choose based on your furniture height and intended posture.
Frame Material
Build materials influence stability and durability for each model. The GIANTEX Fabric Office Chair with 2D Headrest utilizes a heavy-duty metal base and an SGS-certified gas rod. This construction supports smooth height adjustments and ensures stability during extended work sessions. The metal base provides a solid foundation for the chair’s 39-pound weight. Conversely, the GIANTEX 360 Swivel Folding Floor Gaming Chair relies on a heavy-duty steel frame. This steel structure supports the chair’s 17-pound weight and allows for its folding mechanism. While both use metal frames for core support, the office chair emphasizes certified safety components for desk use, whereas the floor chair uses steel to enable its portable, foldable design. The office chair’s SGS certification highlights a focus on mechanical safety standards.
Upholstery Material
Comfort and maintenance vary based on the fabric choices. The GIANTEX Fabric Office Chair with 2D Headrest is upholstered in suede fabric or flax fabric. These materials offer a skin-friendly, plush seating experience with sponge padding underneath. The fabric is designed for durability and comfort during long hours of work. The GIANTEX 360 Swivel Folding Floor Gaming Chair uses recycled cotton padding. This material provides high resilience and a soft, bean-bag-like feel. Notably, the floor chair features machine-washable armrest and base covers, making cleaning easier. The office chair does not list washable components in its specifications. If easy maintenance is a priority, the floor chair’s washable covers offer a practical advantage. Otherwise, the office chair’s fabric offers a structured, plush feel.
Portability
Mobility and storage options differ significantly between the two models. The GIANTEX Fabric Office Chair with 2D Headrest is a stationary piece of furniture. It weighs 39 pounds and features 360-degree universal wheels for easy movement across floors, but it is not designed for folding or compact storage. It remains a fixed element in your office or study. The GIANTEX 360 Swivel Folding Floor Gaming Chair is fully foldable. Weighing only 17 pounds, it requires no tools for setup or takedown. You can unfold it instantly for use and fold it for compact storage. This makes it ideal for small spaces, guest accommodations, or moving between rooms. The floor chair offers superior portability and space efficiency, while the office chair is built for permanent placement.
