This giantex floor gaming chair review focuses on the GIANTEX 360 Swivel Folding Floor Gaming Chair. It is a low-profile seating option designed for casual use rather than desk work. Two key specs define its utility: a 360-degree swivel base for easy movement and six adjustable back positions ranging from 50 to 90 degrees. The chair measures 29.5 inches in height and weighs 17 pounds. It features a steel frame with padded recycled cotton. This setup allows you to shift angles quickly for reading or relaxing. It sits directly on the floor, making it a flexible addition to various rooms in your home.
What stands out
- Six adjustable back positions lock securely between 50 and 90 degrees.
- 360-degree swivel base with a large footprint for stability during rotation.
- Heavy-duty steel frame supports the structure without requiring tools for setup.
- Machine-washable covers for both the armrests and the base.
Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this chair if you need extra seating for a living room, playroom, or balcony. The adjustable back positions make it suitable for reading, watching TV, or taking quick naps. The foldable design and lack of assembly tools allow you to set it up instantly or store it compactly when not in use. Its low height and swivel base also make it a practical choice for accommodating unexpected guests in shared spaces.
Who should skip it
Skip this option if you require ergonomic support for long hours of computer work. The chair lacks lumbar support and a high backrest, which are essential for proper desk posture. Its 29.5-inch height is too low for use with a standard desk or table. Additionally, the soft recycled cotton padding may not provide the firm support needed for extended gaming sessions or heavy-duty daily use. If you need a chair that elevates you to screen level, look elsewhere.
Verdict: The GIANTEX floor chair offers versatile, low-profile seating with easy adjustment and cleaning. It is best suited for casual relaxation rather than professional desk use.
Key specs explained
360 Degree Swivel Base
This feature allows the chair to rotate fully around its axis. You can turn to face different directions without standing up. This is useful for reaching items or shifting focus in a room. Unlike fixed office chairs, this base offers flexible movement. It suits casual users who value easy repositioning over rigid desk alignment.
6 Adjustable Back Positions
The backrest adjusts to six distinct angles between 50 and 90 degrees. You can set it for reading, relaxing, or napping. This range provides varied support for your spine. Standard office chairs often lock into fewer positions. This flexibility helps you find a comfortable posture for leisure activities rather than strict ergonomic typing.
17 pounds Weight
The chair weighs 17 pounds, making it lightweight and portable. You can easily move it between rooms or store it away. This is significantly lighter than traditional heavy office chairs. It is ideal for users who need a flexible seating solution that does not require permanent placement or complex assembly.
21.5 inches Width
The seat width is 21.5 inches. This dimension defines the space available for your hips and thighs. It accommodates average body sizes comfortably. When shopping, compare this to wider gaming chairs if you prefer more room. This width offers a balanced fit for most users in a compact floor chair format.
Design and build analysis
The listing describes a heavy-duty steel frame that supports the chair’s structure. This metal skeleton provides the necessary stability for the 360-degree swivel base. You can rotate the seat without wobbling, which keeps you secure while reaching for items nearby. The frame also allows the chair to fold flat. You do not need tools to set it up or store it away. This makes it easy to move between the living room and a playroom.
According to the listing, the padding consists of recycled cotton. This material fills the overstuffed backrest and armrests. The fabric offers a skin-friendly feel and high resilience. You get support that resembles a bean bag chair rather than a rigid office seat. The armrests and base cover are designed to be removable. You can machine wash them to keep the chair clean. This feature helps maintain hygiene in high-use areas.
The chair measures 24 inches deep, 21.5 inches wide, and 29.5 inches high. It weighs 17 pounds. These dimensions create a low-profile footprint. You can place it on a floor without it dominating the space. The width accommodates most body types comfortably. The height keeps you close to the ground. This layout suits casual relaxation, reading, or napping. It is not designed for high desk work. The available colors include Blue/Beige, Black/Gray, and Brown/Beige. You can choose a finish that matches your room decor.
Setup And Everyday Use
Setting up this chair requires no tools or assembly steps. You simply unfold the frame and it is ready to use. The design prioritizes quick deployment for spontaneous relaxation or when hosting guests. This tool-free setup means you can move it to the living room, playroom, or balcony without delay. The compact folded size allows for easy storage when not in use. In daily use, the 360-degree swivel base lets you rotate fully without standing. This helps you reach nearby items or shift your focus easily. The six adjustable back positions range from 50 to 90 degrees. You can fix the angle securely for reading, sleeping, or relaxing. The heavy-duty steel frame supports this movement while maintaining stability. The thick padded recycled cotton provides a skin-friendly surface. The overstuffed backrest and armrests offer support that mimics a bean bag hug. Cleaning is straightforward because the armrest and base covers are machine washable. You can remove them for maintenance. The chair fits into various spaces due to its dimensions of 24 by 21.5 by 29.5 inches. It weighs 17 pounds, making it light enough to reposition as needed. You can choose from three color options to match your decor. This chair suits casual environments rather than desk work. It is ideal for low-profile seating needs where flexibility and comfort are priorities.
Before You Buy This Chair
You should consider how this chair fits into your routine. It is a low-profile option, so it pairs best with floor activities or low tables. Check that your floor surface can support the steel base without scratching. The dimensions are 24 inches deep and 21.5 inches wide, so ensure you have enough space for the 360-degree swivel. You will need to remove the covers for cleaning. The listing notes that the armrest and base covers are machine washable. This makes upkeep easier if you spill something. Unlike traditional office chairs, this unit lacks lumbar support mechanisms. It is better for casual lounging than long desk sessions. If you need a seat for gaming or reading on the floor, this works. For formal office work, look at higher-backed options. The three color variations allow you to match your room decor. You can choose Blue/Beige, Black/Gray, or Brown/Beige. Keep in mind that it weighs 17 pounds, which is light enough to move but stable when you sit.

- Verify floor space for the 24-inch depth and swivel radius.
- Confirm machine washing capability for the armrest and base covers.

Frequently asked questions
Is the GIANTEX floor gaming chair good for tall people?
This chair has a low profile, measuring 29.5 inches in height. It is designed for casual lounging rather than desk work. Tall users may find the seat height limiting if they need to reach high shelves or desks. The 21.5-inch width offers standard comfort, but the overall low stature makes it better for floor-based activities than traditional office setups.
Does this chair come with armrests?
The published specifications do not list armrests for this model. It features a 360-degree swivel base and a folding frame. You should expect a minimalist design focused on the seat and backrest. If you require arm support for typing or reading, you may need to look for a different chair type that includes built-in armrests.
How much weight can the GIANTEX chair hold?
The provided data does not state a maximum weight capacity. The chair itself weighs 17 pounds and features a heavy-duty steel frame. You should assume the steel construction provides stability for average use. For specific weight limits, you must check the manufacturer’s official label or manual, as this information is not included in the standard spec sheet.
Can you fold the GIANTEX chair for storage?
Yes, the chair is designed to fold for easy storage. It features a folding frame that allows for quick deployment without tools. You can unfold it for use and fold it back down when not needed. This makes it suitable for shared living spaces where you might need to clear floor space quickly for guests or other activities.
Is the seat cushion removable and washable?
The review notes that the chair has washable covers. This feature allows you to maintain hygiene by removing the fabric for cleaning. The covers likely snap or zip off the foam padding. This is a practical benefit for shared spaces or households with pets, ensuring the chair remains fresh without requiring professional upholstery services.
Does this chair work on carpeted floors?
The chair has a steel base that sits directly on the floor. It is suitable for most hard surfaces and low-pile carpets. However, you should ensure your floor type can support the steel frame without scratching. The low profile and swivel design allow for easy movement, but very thick shag carpets might impede the 360-degree rotation or stability.
