Who it fits
Good fit for
This chair suits adults who spend long hours at a desk or playing games. The adjustable lumbar cushion and high-back design help maintain spinal alignment. If you need a spot to rest your legs, the retractable footrest is a key benefit. The quiet casters make it ideal for shared living spaces or offices where noise matters. The easy 15-20 minute assembly is helpful for those who prefer quick setup. The water-repellent PU leather is practical for users who want low-maintenance upholstery.
Who should skip it
Skip this option if you need height-adjustable armrests, as the data lists only wide padded armrests without adjustment details. The seat width is 27.9 inches, which may feel narrow for broader builds. If you require a chair with a synchronized tilt mechanism or advanced ergonomic adjustments, this basic recline function may not suffice. The fixed height options (27.3 or 27.9 inches) limit customization for very tall users. Those needing mesh breathability should look elsewhere, as this uses solid PU leather.
Verdict: The HELXQEXB chair delivers solid ergonomic support and a convenient footrest for its price point. It is a practical choice for users prioritizing relaxation features and stable construction.
Key specs explained for this chair
Headrest Type: Removable padded
This feature allows you to detach the cushion if you prefer less neck bulk or need to wash it. The padding provides targeted support for your cervical spine during long sessions. If you are tall, you might find the fixed position less ideal, but removability offers flexibility. Compare this to chairs with fixed, non-removable headrests that cannot be adjusted or cleaned easily.
Lumbar Support: Adjustable cushion
The lumbar cushion can be moved to fit your lower back curve, reducing strain during extended sitting. This adjustability helps users with different torso lengths find proper support. It alleviates fatigue in the lower spine area. When shopping, compare this to chairs with fixed lumbar bars that may not align correctly with your specific back shape or height.
Seat Cushion Type: High-density rebound sponge
High-density sponge maintains its shape over time, preventing the seat from flattening quickly. This ensures consistent comfort and even weight distribution across your hips and thighs. It resists sagging better than low-density foams. When comparing options, look for high-density ratings to ensure long-term durability and sustained support during daily use or gaming.
Upholstery Material: PU leather
PU leather offers a smooth, water-repellent surface that is easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. It resists scratches and suits daily use in home offices or gaming rooms. This material is more durable than fabric in terms of stain resistance. Compare it to mesh or fabric seats, which may require more frequent cleaning and show wear faster.
Design and build details
The listing specifies a black finish with high-density rebound sponge in the seat cushion. This material choice suggests the chair retains its shape over time, offering even support without creating pressure points on your hips during long work or gaming sessions. The upholstery is PU leather, which the data notes is water-repellent and scratch-resistant. You can wipe it clean with a damp cloth, making maintenance straightforward for daily use in home offices or gaming rooms.
Dimensions listed are 27.9 inches in width and height, with a length of 52.9 inches. This footprint indicates a substantial build that fits standard adult desks. The chair includes a retractable footrest and reclines up to 150 degrees. These features allow you to shift from upright working to flat resting positions. The sturdy reclining mechanism is designed for smooth operation, ensuring you can adjust the angle securely without instability.
A heavy-duty metal five-star base supports the structure, providing reliable load-bearing performance. The chair swivels 360 degrees and uses soft rubber casters that roll quietly on hardwood, carpet, or tile surfaces. According to the listing, these wheels cause no scratches or annoying noise. Assembly requires about 15 to 20 minutes using the included hardware and illustrated manual, with no extra tools needed. This layout prioritizes stability and ease of setup for various interior styles.
Setup and Daily Use Guide
Assembly requires about 15 to 20 minutes. The package includes all necessary hardware, accessories, and a step-by-step illustrated manual. You do not need extra tools to complete the setup. This straightforward process allows you to begin using the chair quickly.
Daily use begins with the reclining mechanism. The backrest adjusts smoothly between 90 and 150 degrees. You can lock it securely at any angle. This range supports upright working, leaning gaming, and flat resting positions. The sturdy mechanism ensures smooth operation during these adjustments.
For leg support, the retractable footrest pulls out effortlessly. It provides full support for your legs during break times. This feature helps you relax completely when you are not actively working or gaming.
Movement is handled by the heavy-duty metal five-star base. It offers stable 360-degree swivel function. You can turn freely in all directions without standing up. The five soft rubber casters roll quietly on hardwood floors, carpets, and tiles. They cause no scratches or annoying noise, making them suitable for shared spaces.
Maintenance is simple due to the water-repellent PU leather upholstery. You can wipe it clean with a damp cloth. This makes it suitable for long-term daily use. The wide padded armrests keep your arms in a relaxed position. This design reduces muscle stiffness during prolonged sessions. The chair fits various interior styles in home offices, gaming rooms, or study spaces.
Before You Buy This Chair
You should verify your floor type before ordering. The listing notes silent rubber casters for hardwood, carpets, and tiles. If you have thick plush rugs, check if the wheels roll smoothly there. The chair includes a retractable footrest. Ensure you have enough space behind your desk for it to extend fully. You may need a separate monitor arm if your current setup is crowded, as the wide padded armrests occupy side space. Upkeep is straightforward. The PU leather upholstery is water-repellent and easy to wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals to preserve the scratch-resistant finish. This model fits well alongside other ergonomic options if you prioritize leg support and recline angles. It suits those who want a flat resting position. It may not fit those who need minimal footprint or adjustable armrests. Check your room dimensions against the 52.9-inch length to ensure proper clearance.

Frequently asked questions
Does the HELXQEXB chair have adjustable armrests?
No, the published specifications do not list adjustable armrests for this model. The chair features wide padded armrests, but their height and position are fixed. If you need to customize armrest height or width to fit your desk perfectly, this chair may not suit your needs. You should check the fixed dimensions against your workspace setup before buying.
Can you change the seat height on this gaming chair?
The product data does not mention a pneumatic height adjustment mechanism for the HELXQEXB CCBB 09. The listed height is a fixed 27.9 inches. This means the seat height cannot be raised or lowered to accommodate different desk heights or user preferences. You must ensure your desk and chair height align without adjustment capabilities.
What are the exact dimensions of the HELXQEXB reclining chair?
The chair measures 27.9 inches in width, 27.9 inches in height, and 52.9 inches in length. These dimensions include the footrest when extended, given the total length. You should measure your available floor space to ensure the 52.9-inch length fits comfortably in your room without obstructing walkways or other furniture.
Is the HELXQEXB chair suitable for tall users?
The chair is designed for adults, but the fixed 27.9-inch height and lack of seat adjustment may limit comfort for very tall users. The 52.9-inch length provides ample legroom when the footrest is used. However, without adjustable seat height, you may find your feet do not rest flat on the floor if you are over average height.
Does this chair come in colors other than black?
The available data lists only the black color option for the HELXQEXB Reclining Gaming Chair. No other color variants are mentioned in the specifications. If you prefer a different aesthetic for your gaming or office setup, this specific model does not offer alternative color choices based on the current listing information.
