NEO Chair vs Furmax Specs
Upholstery Material
The NEO Chair uses elastic mesh for its upholstery. This material allows air to flow through the backrest, which helps keep you cool during long sessions. The mesh provides gentle support while promoting an upright posture. In contrast, the Furmax chair is wrapped in smooth PU leather. This faux leather surface is soft and easy to clean with a simple wipe. It offers a different aesthetic that fits mid-century modern home offices. Mesh breathes better, while leather provides a sleek, uniform look. You should choose based on your preference for airflow versus a polished appearance.
Armrest Design
Armrest functionality differs significantly between these two models. The NEO Chair features padded flip-up arms. You can lift them out of the way to slide the chair under a desk or save space in a compact area. This adds flexibility for small rooms. The Furmax chair data does not specify armrest adjustability or flip-up capabilities. It focuses on the seat and back support instead. If you need to tuck your chair under a desk frequently, the NEO Chair’s design offers a practical advantage. Otherwise, both provide standard seating support.
Back Style
The backrest design impacts your posture and comfort. The Furmax is a high-back executive chair. Its contoured backrest provides steady lower back support, which helps reduce strain during long hours of sitting. The NEO Chair features a mesh backrest that promotes upright posture and stability through its contoured shape. While the NEO Chair supports your back, the Furmax explicitly highlights its high-back design for enhanced lumbar support. If you require substantial lower back cradling, the Furmax high-back structure may be more suitable for your needs.
Build Certifications
Safety and durability certifications indicate build quality. The Furmax chair is independently tested to withstand 1.5 times the BIFMA standard. It features a heavy-duty 4-level gas lift designed to prevent gradual sinking and ensure shake-free stability. The NEO Chair is built with an SGS certified gas lift and an FSC-certified wood frame. These certifications ensure reliable internal support and long-term durability. Both chairs meet recognized safety standards. The Furmax emphasizes exceeding industry standards for heavy use, while the NEO Chair focuses on certified material safety and sturdy construction.
